B1 ENGLISH TEST INTEGRATED SKILLS IN ENGLISH (ISE I)

Fluency is key to passing the speaking section of the ISE I exam. This lesson focuses on building conversational confidence by practicing common speaking topics, such as daily routines, hobbies, and current events.

Students will begin with simple conversation starters, gradually working their way up to more complex discussions. The aim is to enable students to speak continuously for a few minutes without long pauses. Speaking exercises will be paired with vocabulary building, ensuring students have the words they need to express their ideas.

Pronunciation is another important aspect of this lesson. Students will practice difficult sounds and work on reducing any native language interference that may affect their clarity. Role-playing exercises will simulate the exam environment, helping students gain familiarity with the format.

In addition to fluency, students will learn strategies for handling unfamiliar topics. This involves techniques like asking for clarification, rephrasing, and giving examples to elaborate on answers. By the end of this lesson, students will feel more confident in speaking spontaneously and naturally during the exam.
