B1 ENGLISH TEST INTEGRATED SKILLS IN ENGLISH (ISE I)

This lesson delves into the timing of the ISE I exam, breaking down each section’s time constraints. For example, the reading section typically lasts about 40 minutes, while the writing component takes 30 minutes. Speaking lasts around 10 minutes, and listening around 20 minutes.

Understanding time management is key to success. For instance, the reading section includes texts that require quick scanning and in-depth comprehension, so students must learn how to balance speed with accuracy. In the speaking section, there is no room for long pauses, and fluency must be maintained. Effective note-taking is essential in the listening section, as the audio is often played just once, requiring sharp focus.

By the end of this lesson, students will know exactly how much time they have for each section and will develop strategies to use this time wisely.
